We have a goal of $20,000 to raise, which will allow us to continue to provide a safe, successful and enjoyable baseball experience for children, teens and adults with special needs. After a successful opening day this fall, the Miracle League of New Albany is focusing on establishing itself for a successful spring season. We are planning to open the season on May 7th and run Saturday games through July 23rd.
As you know, this league brings out the best in our community to ensure ‘every child has a chance to play baseball.’ It is a league powered by volunteers and that is why I am reaching out to you today. Miracle League baseball requires that each player have a buddy to assist with hitting & running bases and accompanying the player into the outfield. Teams need 2-3 coaches and there is a great deal of field coordination from set up, announcing, and tear down after the games are over.
